P/02.1 — ProfileDigital assets

Brock Pierce has founded and backed the companies that became part of the fabric of digital assets.

He co-founded Tether in 2014, the company behind USDT, the largest stablecoin in the world and the company Fortune ranked first on its Crypto 100 in 2026. In 2013 he co-founded Blockchain Capital, among the first venture firms dedicated to the sector, and worked on Mastercoin, the 2013 project widely regarded as the first token sale. He co-founded Block.one, the company behind the EOS network, whose token sale raised around four billion dollars, the largest in history, and he served as a director and then Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation.

He saw the asset class coming a decade before it had a name. His first company, Internet Gaming Entertainment, founded in 2001, built the market for virtual currency and goods inside online games and took investment from Goldman Sachs in 2006.

He is co-founder of DNA, the venture group that includes DNA Fund and DNA Financial, and has served since 2021 as an independent director of Bit Digital, the Nasdaq-listed digital asset company, where he sits on the Audit, Compensation and Nominating committees. In 2020 he ran as an independent candidate for President of the United States, on the ballot in sixteen states. He chairs the Integro Foundation, a non-profit in Puerto Rico, where he has lived since 2017.

P/02.4 — The stablecoinTether

The simplest idea in digital assets,
and the most used.

A token pegged to the dollar that moves on the same rails as every other digital asset. That is Tether, and it is the unit most of the asset class settles in.

Announced in 2014 as Realcoin and renamed Tether that November, USDT grew into the largest stablecoin in the world. By 2019 it had overtaken bitcoin as the most traded digital asset by volume, and in 2026 Fortune ranked Tether first on its Crypto 100, with a market value roughly double that of every other stablecoin combined.

Why it matters

Stablecoins are the settlement layer of the asset class. The Super Group runs its own capital on that layer, and one of the people who created it sits in its leadership.
